Activity Metrics Personal Dashboard Portal Personal Dashboard portal displaying a breakdown of your hours reported by week and by month
Assignment Conceptual Term Work (a task or assignable form) that a member has been designated to work on
Assignments Menu Item A module that displays all your assignments and work that you have assigned
Blog Conceptual Term Project-based and Personal-based blogging and time-entry capability
Blog Menu Item A module where a blog can be viewed
Blog-it Menu Item Entry dialog for a blog and for reporting time against a task
Business Menu Item A workspace where people and policies of an organization are housed. Businesses contain projects
Charge Codes Conceptual Term An identifier code that links work to a cost center
Manage Charge Codes Menu Item
Dashboard Menu Item A module that shows summaries of data with links to other parts of the application. In there is a Personal Dashboard, and one Dashboard for each Project and Business.
Directory Menu Item A module that contains the list of team members, and their roles. It enables adding and removing team members, and adding and removing roles.
Discussions Menu Item A module that maintains threaded discussion groups
Calendar Menu Item A module that contains monthly, weekly and daily calendars that show tasks, events, meetings and other occurrences by project and by person.
Documents Menu Item Any document that is related to the project is maintained with the document module in the application.
Domain Conceptual Term
Event Conceptual Term Any event within the project scheduled for any date or time is recorded in the Calendar module.
Folder Conceptual Term In the Documents module, documents are grouped within folders, identified by a folder name.
Forms Menu Item A module that holds user-defined forms and records of those forms holding data.
Interface Settings Menu Item Option in Personal>Setup to define the landing page of the application, and the landing page upon entering a project.
Licensing Menu Item Option in Personal>Setup that contains the licenses for the different versions of the application.
Meeting Menu Item In the Calendar module, a time-based event that can be set up, including invitations to other team members and the ability to enter an agenda.
Members Conceptual Term A person who has a login. Also a person who has been added into the directory of a business and/or project.
News Menu Item A dashboard portal in Businesses and Projects, where any member can post an announcement.
Notifications Menu Item In Personal, Projects, and Business >Setup. A tool to specify individual and group notices about events that occur within projects and businesses. Notifications can be object specific or module specific. They are delivered via email.
Notify Menu Item The Toolbox option for creating object-specific notifications.
Portfolio Menu Item The top-level page of the Projects tab, that provides an at a glance view of all your projects with their respective details.
Profile Menu Item A module in Personal, that holds the personal details such as contact info and project membership, of anyone who has a login.
Project Menu Item A workspace where a member can set up work (task and forms), a schedule, and can assign resources and track those tasks.
Reports Menu Item In the Toolbox of Project and Business Dashboards; various predefined accounts of project and business data. Grouping of the different fields based on various criteria to obtain the exact status and details pertaining to any tasks or resources within the project.
Resources Menu Item A module where members allocation to projects and tasks can be analyzed and managed.
Roles Menu Item Part of the Directory module; Permissions and authority provided to the users within the project based on their position and the activity they can perform based on these roles.
Security Menu Item A module to specify access control of members.
Setup Menu Item A module in Personal, Projects, and Business where various administrative tools are accessed.
Steps Conceptual Term The different passes in a workflow defined with an activity.
Sub-business Conceptual Term A business that is a child of another business (known as its parent business).
Subproject Conceptual Term A project that is a child of another project (known as its parent project).
2-pane View Interface Element A table with a right-hand window that can be opened or closed; on the right-hand pane, you can see more information about a chosen item in the left-hand pane.
Templates Conceptual Term A copy of a project that can be saved and then used as a basis for any new project.
Timesheets Menu Item A module in Personal that shows a member’s time entries in table format. Members can also enter their work time in Timesheet.
Transitions Conceptual Term Movements within a workflow on completion of each activity in the form of steps.
Trashcan Menu Item In Setup, a file that contains all the deleted documents of a project or business.
Utilization Summary Conceptual Term Summary of the resource utilization of a member across projects
Verification Code Conceptual Term Code that is provided to validate registration on the pnet application.
Views Conceptual Term A filtered list of any objects, like projects, tasks, etc.
Wiki Menu Item A module that contains a wiki specific to a project.
Work Conceptual Term A defined set of requirements (a task or assignable form) that a member can be assigned to.
Work % complete Conceptual Term Percentage of work that is completed compared to the total amount of work.
Working Time Calendar Conceptual Term A weekly Calendar with the time and days of work that resources work on.
Workflow Conceptual Term A process that contains a number of steps and transitions for the completion or transmission of a task.
Workflow Menu Item A module in Projects that enables members to define project workflows.
Workspaces Conceptual Term The logical area where the projects or businesses are segregated and worked on.
Space Administrator Default Role Name The lead role in the application who by default acquires all powers to add, modify and delete the different objects in the application.
Power User Default Role Name A member of the project with restricted access to delete and modify permissions to the different objects.
Team member Default Role Name A member with the default limited roles within the project.
Activity Log Menu Item A module within a project, that contains a log of many events occurring within the project.
Ancestor Business/Project Conceptual Term Any business/project that is a parent, grandparent, great grandparent, etc. , to a business/project.
Child Business/Project Conceptual Term Any business/project that has a parent business/project; any sub-business or subproject.
Gate Conceptual Term Gate is a date when the completed deliverable needs to be reviewed or approved.
Discussion Group Conceptual Term A discrete discussion topic.
Milestone Conceptual Term A task with a Start Date, but with 0 work, that acts as a benchmark in the schedule.
Phases Menu Item A module where task can be grouped into a named process.
Post Menu Item A Blog post or a Discussion post is a new statement within each respective module
Properties Conceptual Term Description of an object based on its attributes. Also referred to as ‘Details.”
Quick Add Conceptual Term An option in Project>Workplan to enable adding a task with only Start Date, End Date, and work fields.
Recalculate Conceptual Term Option provided to revise the task dates based on other changes within the task or Workplan.
Records Conceptual Term Specific instance of a form that contains data.
Root Level Business Conceptual Term The top level business which forms the root of all sub businesses and projects under it.
Sidebar Toolbox Conceptual Term An area on the left side of the page that contain the application tools specific to that page.
