[edit] Introduction

A wiki is a collection of related pages designed so that anyone who accesses them can contribute or modify content using a simplified mark-up language. In Project.net almost everything has its own wiki page. These pages are great places to capture descriptions, details and specifications of the associated projects, tasks and form items.

Because all project members can edit them, the pages can start out simple and grow as members contribute to them. The resulting pages can be linked together and incorporated into the project's wiki, giving team members access to the information they need. Wikis are one of Project.net's powerful collaboration tools.

Every project includes a wiki main page that is accessible by all the members of the project. This page may contain all information relating to the project, such as description or charter. Most likely, it contains links to existing and new pages, serving as a portal into the project's information.

Working with wiki pages is easy - in edit-mode users can add text and images; simple mark-up commands control text formatting, like bold text or numbered lists. New pages are added simply by inserting a page link - if the linked page does not exist it will be created.
