Business Setup
Business Setup

Choosing Setup in the application opens to various options to define and dictate the settings of the specific project or business selected.

These settings are based on two main options, user settings or administrator settings.

[edit] To Create a New Subscription

  1. Go to the BUSINESS or PROJECT tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS or PROJECT from the list.
  3. Click on the [Setup] option under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on the [Notifications] link under the user’s personal settings for the project. The MANAGE NOTIFICATION SUBSCRIPTIONS page with the list of subscriptions already created are listed.
  5. Click on the [New Subscription] option under Toolbox.
  6. In the Create New subscription page, select the Object type for Notification in the drop down field on "SELECT OBJECT TYPE FOR NOTIFICATION". Once the Object type is selected, the events for notification based on the selected object are now displayed.
  7. Select an event from the list of events on the object that is to be notified and click on [Next].
  8. In the next page enter the name and description of the subscription, select the options Delivery method and Delivery schedule from the drop down, and checkbox against the members of the project who are to be notified of the subscription. Also provide any external email address if it exists for notification and click on [Finish] to save the new subscription.

The Notification is now saved and listed in the Manage Notifications Subscriptions page. The selected participants are notified via email.

[edit] To Edit a Subscription

  1. Go to the BUSINESS or PROJECT tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS or PROJECT from the list.
  3. Click on the [Setup] option under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on the [Notifications] link under the user’s personal settings for the project. The MANAGE NOTIFICATION SUBSCRIPTIONS page with the list of subscriptions already created are listed.
  5. Select a subscription that needs to be modified and click on the [Edit Subscription] option under Toolbox.
  6. In the EDIT SUBSCRIPTION page, make the required modifications to the properties of the subscription and click on [Finish] to save the changes. The modified subscription is now listed in the MANAGE NOTIFICATION SUBSCRIPTIONS page.

[edit] To Delete a Subscription

  1. Go to the BUSINESS or PROJECT tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS or PROJECT from the list.
  3. Click on the [Setup] option under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on the [Notifications] link under the user’s personal settings for the project. The MANAGE NOTIFICATION SUBSCRIPTIONS page with the list of subscriptions already created are listed.
  5. Select a subscription that needs to be removed and click on the [Delete Subscription] option under Toolbox.
  6. In the confirmation popup on "Are you sure to delete this notification?" click on "OK". The selected subscription is now removed and no more available on the list in this page.

[edit] To Edit Project or Business Information

  1. Go to the BUSINESS or PROJECT tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS or PROJECT from the list.
  3. Click on the [Setup] options under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on [Properties] under Administrator Settings.
  5. Edit or populate fields and pull-downs as necessary.
  6. Click [Submit].

The Project Information is now edited.

[edit] To View Peoples and Roles

  1. Go to the BUSINESS or PROJECT tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS or PROJECT from the list.
  3. Click on the [Setup] options under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on the [People and Roles] link under Administrator Settings. The DIRECTORY page with the list of participants is now displayed.

[edit] Create a Template from this Workspace

  1. Go to the BUSINESS or PROJECT tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS or PROJECT from the list.
  3. Click on the [Setup] options under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on the [Templates] option under Administrator Settings.
  5. In the Select an Action page, click on the option on, "CREATE A TEMPLATE FROM THIS WORKSPACE". The TEMPLATE INFORMATION page is now open.
  6. Enter the required fields on Template name, description if required and the use Scenario.
  7. Select the workspace name from the list in the drop down field on Template owning workspace.
  8. Select the modules to be included in the template and click on [Submit].

The template is now created.

[edit] Create a New Template

  1. Go to the BUSINESS or PROJECT tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS or PROJECT from the list.
  3. Click on the [Setup] options under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on the [Templates] option under Administrator Settings.
  5. In the SELECT AN ACTION page, click on the option on, "Create a New Template". The CREATE TEMPLATE page is now open.
  6. Enter the required fields on Template name, description if required and the use Scenario.
  7. Click on [Finish] to create the template.

The template is now created.

[edit] Manage Portfolios

  1. Go to the BUSINESS or PROJECT tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS from the list.
  3. Click on the [Setup] options under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on the [Manage Portfolio] option under Business Administrator Settings.
  5. The page on Project Portfolio Views Saved in this Business will be listed. This list will include the portolios that are shared with a business in the Project Portfolio page.
  6. Select the Portfolio that needs to be removed from the list and click on [Delete Portfolio View] from the Toolbox list.
  7. This deleted portfolio view will not longer be listed in this section.

[edit] To View Object Shares

  1. Go to the BUSINESS or PROJECT tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS or PROJECT from the list.
  3. Click on the [Setup] options under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on [Sharing] under Administrator Settings. Details of the shared object if any with the project, their number of shares, shared security and shared by details are displayed in this page.

[edit] To Remove a Share

  1. Go to the BUSINESS or PROJECT tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS or PROJECT from the list.
  3. Click on the [Setup] options under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on [Sharing] under Administrator Settings. Details of the shared object if any with the project, their number of shares, shared security and shared by details are displayed in this page.
  5. Select the sharing object that is to be removed and click on the [Remove Share] option under Toolbox. The selected object is now removed.

[edit] To View Properties of a Deleted Object

  1. Go to the BUSINESS or PROJECT tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS or PROJECT from the list.
  3. Click on the [Setup] options under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on the [Trashcan] option under Administrator Settings. The TRASHCAN page is now open with the list of objects that have been deleted in the selected project.
  5. To view the properties of the object in the list, select the object and click on the [View Properties] option under Toolbox. The PROPERTIES page of the object is now displayed.

[edit] To Restore a Deleted Object

  1. Go to the BUSINESS or PROJECT tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS or PROJECT from the list.
  3. Click on the [Setup] options under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on the [Trashcan] option under Administrator Settings. The TRASHCAN page is now open with the list of objects that have been deleted in the selected project.
  5. Select the object that is to be restored and click on the [Restore Item] option under Toolbox.
  6. In the confirmation popup on "Are you sure you want to un-delete this object?" click on [OK]. The object is now restored to the original location from where it was deleted and is no more available in the list under Trashcan.

[edit] To Permanently Delete an Object

  1. Go to the BUSINESS or PROJECT tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS or PROJECT from the list..
  3. Click on the [Setup] options under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on the [Trashcan] option under Administrator Settings. . The TRASHCAN page is now open with the list of objects that have been deleted in the selected project.
  5. Select an object that is to be permanently deleted and click on the [Permanently Delete Item] option under Toolbox.
  6. In the confirmation popup on "Are you sure you want to delete this object" select "YES". The selected object is now permanently deleted and no more available in the list under Trashcan.

[edit] Security

  1. Go to the BUSINESS or PROJECT tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS or PROJECT from the list..
  3. Click on the [Setup] options under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on the [Security] option under Administrator Settings. . The SECURITY page is now open with the two tabs on MODULE PERMISSIONS and NEW OBJECT PERMISSIONS. The MODULE PERMISSIONS option enables to provide Module level permissions to the user selected from the drop down option on the Person/Role field. Choosing the NEW OBJECT PERMISSIONS tab enables to provide object level permissions for the user selected in the drop down.
  5. Make the required changes to the permissions and click on [Submit] to save the changed security settings. The changes to the security are now saved.

[edit] View Charge Codes

  1. Go to the BUSINESS tab.
  2. From the Business or Project area, select a BUSINESS from the list..
  3. Click on the [Setup] options under the top tree menu.
  4. Click on the [View Charge Codes] option under Customer Account Settings. . The VIEW CHARGE CODES page is now open.
  5. The Use Charge Codes checkbox is selected by default. This is enabled by the Administrator user. The admin also specifies the different modules where the charge codes are available.
  6. List of all the Charge Codes already created are also available in this page.
  7. Details on this list include, the Charge Code, Name, Description and Status. Status if enabled is displayed as a tick mark.
  8. This list on Charge Codes are also segregated into Work Charge Codes and non-work Charge Codes.

[edit] Toolbox

  • Blogit - Selecting this allows the user to create a blog entry on Business Setup.
