[edit] Deploying Project.net in a Production Environment
A production installation of Project.net consists of a combination of servers and software. The main component is an application server running either Apache Tomcat application server, hosting the Project.net application; partnered with this is an Oracle database server. Both are fronted by a web server, such as Apache Httpd, and supported by a mail (SMTP) server, document vault (file server) and optional LDAP directory server. You can use Windows, Linux or a combination as the operating systems for these servers. Most likely, you already have existing mail and file servers that Project.net can use.
