[edit] Gantt charts in Project.net

Gantt charts are used for planning, scheduling and analyzing complex projects. Gantt charts help you to plan out the tasks that need to be completed within the stipulated time. They give you a basis for scheduling when the particular tasks need to be carried out. They enable you to plan the allocation of resources needed to complete the project and help work out the critical path for a project where you must complete the task within a specific date. Gantt charts enable you to monitor the progress of the project to make sure the project is on track as per schedule. Based on this information you can take remedial action necessary to put the project back on schedule.

[edit] Gantt Chart View

The Gantt Chart view is a predefined view that displays project tasks on the left side of the view and graphical bars corresponding to the tasks durations on the right side of the view. Project.net provides the most commonly used Gantt Chart view. It lists the tasks in your project while also illustrating the schedule and the relationship between projects using Gantt bars. The Gantt Chart view is available as an alternative to the list view in the Project.net workplan.

[edit] Security settings for a task

The ability of Team Members to set or change security permissions for tasks is determined by the permissions granted by the Space Administrator.

A Team Member can modify security for the tasks that was created by choosing the security option.
